The Royal Free Hospital
David Floyd is a senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Free Hospital in London and an Honorary Senior lecturer at University College London. He is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery.
David is a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). After graduating from Cambridge University David returned to London to complete his medical training at UCL. After four years of General Surgery training he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and was awarded an MSc for his research into scarring and wound healing. He then completed eight years of Plastic Surgery training, working in many of the world-class Plastic Surgery Units in London. His training culminated in the award of full accreditation in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons, FRCS(plast).
As an NHS Consultant he is an integral member of the Breast Unit providing reconstructive surgery after treatment for breast cancer, the Abdominal Wall Unit for treatment of complex hernias and the Hand Unit offering treatment for a range of hand conditions and injuries.
